Mandarins Imperial
Imperials are the most popular variety as easy to peel, have few seeds and excellent sweet flavour. Mandarins are smaller than oranges and taste is considered sweeter, stronger and less sour. It's usually eaten plain or is delicious in a fruit salad. A ripe mandarin is firm to slightly soft, heavy for its size and pebbly-skinned. They're a good source of vitamin C and a useful source of dietary fibre.
