- Do not be tempted to add more baking powder than a recipe suggests! Too much can cause the mixture to taste bitter and can also cause the mixture to rise too rapidly and then deflate.
- To make self raising flour, mix two teaspoons of McKenzie's Baking Powder to each cup of plain flour then sift several times.
